Mission StatementSteve’s Staffing is committed to serving people with integrity and excellence and creating environments where individuals flourish, which we believe is critical to the success of a service-oriented business. Our goal is to develop strategic “partnerships” with quality restaurants and educational institutions. Our involvement in restaurant operations includes our extensive experience in an honest and professional way, leaving our clients with a culture and system that offers a greater likelihood of long term profitability.
BioFounder and President of Steve’s Staffing, Steve incorporated Steve’s Joint Ventures in 1999, which is the parent company of Steve’s Staffing. Steve has a consulting firm called SRI Solutions, which was established in 2004. Steve has been involved with restaurants since 1982, having grown up in a family of restaurateurs beginning in 1969, when he was born along with a twin brother, and it was two-for-one drinks all night at the family’s establishment, Iampieri’s Bar/Westway Liquors. Throughout his involvement in restaurants, Steve has done everything, including washing dishes to General Manager. Steve began consulting with businesses in 1990 and since then has worked with some 30 different restaurants and bars offering a wide array of concepts from casual to fine dining and from 10 – 250 seats. Steve has interviewed thousands of individuals for positions within the hospitality industry. After launching his Restaurant Consulting firm in 2004, Steve noticed a void in the industry. Steve’s Staffing was developed and launched in 2008 as the Restaurant Staffers first choice for staffing success! Steve values people and thus has a strong focus on human resources as a means of restaurants’ achieving their business objectives. Steve’s greatest strengths are his varied and extensive restaurant experience and his understanding of how to create a culture that encourages a flexible, enthusiastic, competent, and invested service staff and how to develop a system of policies and procedures that supports this culture. He graduated from Calvert Hall College High School and then from York College with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, along with an associate degree in management. Steve was a member and founding father of the York College Rugby Club and the York College Lacrosse Club. Congruent with his people-oriented, philanthropic values, Steve regularly contributes time and money to the following organizations: Red Cross, the National Kidney Foundation, the Special Olympics, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors of Mosaic Foundation, a subsidiary of Sheppard Pratt, MHEF (Maryland Hospitality Education Foundation), a subsidiary of the Restaurant Association of Maryland. Steve is the President of the William Chupka Jr. Scholarship Foundation, which raises awareness to youth suicide and preventative alternatives available. In Steve’s free time he is spending time on the golf course, playing tennis, traveling, coaching football at Calvert Hall, kayaking, and playing with his dog, Ringo. |
